Sandy Townsend and Charles Townsend are a mother and son team who work together to get the job done!

Sandy Townsend is a native of Albuquerque. While attending the University of New Mexico, she studied Elementary and Special Education while she worked as a manager in retail stores. She was an owner/operator of a local florist and Hallmark shop for almost 10 years. She has always been happy helping people and her career choice reflects that enjoyment. Being a Realtor gives Sandy many opportunities to lend a helping hand to people.

Sandy is married and has a precious 12 year old daughter still at home. Her son and daughter-in-law have recently blessed Sandy with a grandson. She enjoys spending time with her family. Camping, fishing and biking are just a few of the outdoor activities that the Townsend family loves to do. Sandy's faith and her passion for music is an important part of life. Throughout the years, playing the piano, composing and singing any kind of music has brought a great deal of joy to her.

Sandy believes that it is important to give back to the community. She loves children and often helps those in need through her volunteer work. Sandy served on the Board for the NM Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, chaired their Walk-for-the-Cure walk-a-thon and has participated in the walks most every year, in hopes to come closer to finding a cure for Diabetes. Sandy also served on the Development Council for the Children's Hospital of New Mexico and worked as a volunteer baby cuddler and read to the children at the hospital. Throughout the years, Sandy has enjoyed working with Albuquerque's Habitat for Humanity.

Professionally, Sandy was named Rookie of the Year in her first year of real estate. She has also achieved several other prestigious production based awards including Rock Climber, Leading Edge Society and President's Circle, Emerald Medallion award and she has been a member of the Elite 25. Sandy has also served as the Relocation Director of New Mexico and Arizona and Sales Manager for Prudential Preferred Properties. She has been the Qualifying Broker for Premier GMAC Real Estate for years, managing numerous associates while serving Buyers and Sellers as a top producing Realtor. Sandy knows the business and works hard for those she serves.

Charles Townsend is a native of Albuquerque and has been in the real estate business since 2000. He started his real estate career by working with Coldwell Banker Legacy as the Outgoing Referral Coordinator for their Relocation Department. He was successful in his position and surpassed all of the company goals. After attending New Mexico's Dearborn Real Estate Institute and completing required education courses, Charles passed the real estate exam and received his license from the New Mexico Real Estate Commission. Four years later, Charles continued his education hours and with his actual real estate experience, was able to pass the Broker's exam. The exam is required in order to receive a Broker's license. He is now qualified to run a real estate office, if he chooses to do so.

Charles is married and has one infant son. He enjoys "family time" and most anything outdoors! He has a passion for cars, regardless of the age, make or model! He'll probably know something about it! Charles has spent many hours working with the former New Mexico Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation during their many Walk-for-the Cure walk-a-thons. He has also helped with the Habitat for Humanity projects in the Albuquerque area. Charles has worked with Sandy Townsend since 2001. He has participated in literally hundreds of real estate transactions over the years. He received the prestigious Emerald Medallion award in 2004 and 2005.
